Music and art play role in recovery

Two local groups are gearing up to host the First Annual Flint Recovery Music & Art show.

The Serenity House of Flint and Green Union will hold the event which aims to inform the community of the rising epidemic of drug and alcohol addiction and to end the stigma of recovery.

There will be several musical performances, speakers and live art demonstrations.

Funding from the event will go into supporting the Serenity House, a recovery community organization.

The show will be held in Mount Morris at the Jam Shack of Green Union.
