Police: Man arrested after 158 marijuana plants seized
ARENAC COUNTY, Mich. – The Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group announced a large drug arrest in Arenac County’s Sims Township.
According to the report by STING, 158 marijuana plants, processed marijuana and growing/processing equipment were seized.
Police say a 55-year-old man was arrested and is lodged in the Arenac County Jail.
The suspect is charged with delivery/manufacturing of marijuana (20-200 plants), which is a seven-year felony.
He is awaiting arraignment in District Court in Standish.
STING says they were assisted in the sting operation by the Arenac County Sheriff’s Office and troopers from the Michigan State Police West Branch post.
The incident remains under investigation.
