Local libraries in Genesee County are offering some fun ways for kids to learn over the summer. It’s all part of National Summer Learning Days. The week-long event is aimed at giving kids fun ways to keep up skills learned at school while on summer break. They will work on arts and crafts, reading and math. There are also activities for teens, such as stop-motion-animation and podcast creation.

"It's a great experience, and I think that it should touch bases throughout Flint, Michigan, Genesse County, Saginaw, because it is a great program," Ladelvin Walker a parent speaker said.

National Summer Learning Days will continue throughout the week at several locations across Genesee County.
