Reese man named as person of interest in Midland homicide

Thirty-three-year-old Joel Wallace has been named as a person of interest connected to the death of Midland resident Victoria Killbourne, according to the Tuscola County Sheriff. (Tuscola County Sheriff)

MIDLAND, Mich. --Thirty-three-year-old Joel Wallace has been named as a person of interest connected to the death of Midland resident Victoria Killbourne, according to the Tuscola County Sheriff.

Killbourne went missing on June 25, and was found dead on Sunday, July 1 on rural property near Onaway in Presque Isle county.

Wallace, who was identified as one of Killbourne’s family members, was jailed on unrelated charges

He was arraigned this week on the following charges:

  • 3 counts of felon in possession of a fire arm
  • 3 counts of possessing a firearm while committing a felony
  • Driving with a suspended license

Wallace is being held on a $750,000 cash bond.
