CARROLLTON TWP., Mich. - It was a special day at a local church in Saginaw County’s Carrollton Township on Sunday. That's because while many people were there to give thanks, one special woman received the gift of a lifetime.

“I was given a car today!” Tawana Morrison exclaimed.

It's been three long months for Morrison and her 15-year-old son.

“Me and my son were in a car accident in Novembermy car was totaled,” Morrison stated.

Since then, Morrison has been borrowing her mom's car, as she saved up to buy her own.

But on Sunday as mass commenced at ‘Love City Church’ in Carrollton Township, Morrison received the gift of a lifetime.

(Pastor Tariq Price) "I literally cried when I found out that this person needed a carsister Tawana. (Tawana screams/crowd cheers).

She was given a Cadillac on behalf of the church.

    And her reaction was priceless.

“I kind of knew she was going to blow up like that (laughs) she's an amazing person,” said Pastor Tariq Price.

Pastor Price is the man behind the generosity. He says this is the third car his church has given away.

“All the cars that we give away, they all have been given to me,” he said.

Pastor Price says each time gets bigger and better and everyone's reactions...

(Tawana’s Mom) "I got my keys back, I got my keys back!"

    ...make it all worth it.

“I'm always in awe when it's time to give. Giving I believe, that's who God is and I believe that's who we should be,” Pastor Price stated.

And for Morrison, she's thankful to drive home in her own car.

“Praise God! Thank you!” she said.

Pastor Price says, 'Love City Church' always finds ways to give back to people in the community.

Just recently, he opened a food pantry at the church. He says everyone is welcome on the third Saturday of every month.
