Sandusky man rescued from Lake Huron in Sanilac County

PORT SANILAC, Mich. - What's being called a possible drowning of a swimmer happened Sunday in Lake Huron.

According to the Sanilac County Sheriff, it happened around 4:30 p.m. outside the harbor wall in Port Sanilac.

Friends were alarmed when an 18-year-old Sandusky man jumped into the water but didn't surface.

Marine unit deputies responded by boat and one deputy jumped into the water to look for the man.

He was found unconscious and not responsive in about eight feet of water.

The man was flown by Lifenet to a Saginaw hospital.

His condition is unknown at this time.
