ROSCOMMON COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Multiple people were arrested in Roscommon County after an armed robbery investigation led to a meth investigation.

On March 30, a woman called 911 early in the morning and reported an armed robbery at her home in Roscommon County.

The victim reported several people had entered her home and took a small safe, money and cell phones.

Roscommon County Sheriff's deputies said a suspect aimed a black pistol at the woman and demanded she hand over the items.

The victim recognized the suspects and was able to give a description of them and the vehicle they were driving.

Deputies and Michigan State Police searched the area and found several suspects.

According to deputies, one suspect still had the pistol used in the robbery and some suspects had meth and drug paraphernalia on them.

A search warrant was executed at a home in Houghton Lake and investigators said they found packages that tested positive as meth.

According to investigators, the meth found in the home looked ready for sale or delivery and another man was arrested during the search.

Five suspects in all were arrested, two suspects are in the hospital because of complications from narcotics use, deputies said.

Three other men, Darron Bauknecht, Kayn Blackmun and Brandon Schroder, were arraigned on multiple charges stemming from this investigation.

Roscommon County has seen an upswing in meth arrests, reporting 20 people are currently lodged in the jail for meth-related crimes, according to deputies.
