FLUSHING, Mich. - Residents on Drisch Street in Flushing are counting their blessings after a storm caused widespread damage to homes on the street.
The Flint Township Fire Chief says first responders received a call around 7:30 p.m. for a tree that had fallen on a home causing a possible entrapment.
Fire crews say a man was home at the time the incident occurred, but luckily made it out safely with no injuries.
On the same street, fire crews blocked off areas of the roadway due to several power lines collapsing.
Authorities say Consumers Energy has been notified but it's unclear when crews will arrive to repair the downed power lines.
The Fire Chief urges residents to steer clear of the areas where caution tape is hanging until the situation is resolved.
