Superintendent: Student brought pocket knife to school
CARROLLTON, Mich. --Carrollton Public Schools superintendent Tim Wilson confirmed that an elementary student brought a pocket knife to school on Tuesday, September 19.
According to a letter sent home to parents on Thursday by Carrollton Elementary School Principal Coates, one student showed a pocket knife to another student during an after-school program.
That student informed staff members, and they followed appropriate policies and procedures.
The school also took additional steps to thoroughly investigate the incident, and appropriate disciplinary action was taken, according to the letter.
