Travis Mills inspires crowd at Frankenmuth gala

Vassar native and quadruple amputee, retired U.S. Army staff sergeant Travis Mills, sharing his inspirational story Saturday night in Frankenmuth.

Mills was the keynote speaker at the seventh annual legacy ball, that raised money for the Frankenmuth Community Foundation.

Mills lost all of his limbs during an IED explosion in Afghanistan in 2012 during his third tour of duty.

His visit to Michigan comes as a documentary about him called “Travis: A Soldier’s Story” has dropped on Netflix.
