Footprints in snow lead to robbery suspect’s arrest in Bay City

BAY CITY, Mich. -- Bay City Department of Public Safety says they have arrested 19-year-old Timothy Estabrook in connection with the party store robberies. Police say the suspect fled on foot and was tracked in the snow by officers through yards and over fences.

The suspect was located and arrested and police say he was in possession of the knife and cigarettes, and his clothing matched the description from the store's surveillance cameras.

Police say the suspect was lodged in the Bay County Jail and will be arraigned on armed robbery charges.


BAY CITY, Mich. – Two Bay City party stores were robbed within 30 minutes of each other Thursday evening.

The first happened around 7:30 p.m. at the 7-11 store on Wilder Road near Bangor Street.

Police say a male suspect robbed the store at knife point.

He was arrested a short time later.

Bay City Public Safety’s public information officer credits great police work and community cooperation for the arrest.

The second robbery happened at the Cass Avenue Party Store near Michigan Avenue around 8 p.m.

Details including suspect information have not been released on that incident.

Police are not saying whether the two robberies are connected.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
