According to the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office, a Corunna couple was arrested for abusing their 6-month-old twins.

Detectives say they were called to an area hospital at the request of Corunna police for a suspected case of child abuse back in May.

The sheriff's office says both infants had multiple fractures and one of the infants had an acute broken femur, which detectives believe was caused by the parents.

Tiffany Marie Wilson, 26, of Corunna was charged on November 16 with two counts of first-degree child abuse.

Wilson waived her preliminary examination and is bound over to the 35th Circuit Court.

Almost a month later, on December 12, investigators charged the father Thomas Mitchell Rowell, 29 also of Corunna, with two counts of first-degree child abuse.

Rowell is scheduled for a preliminary examination on January 2 in 66th District Court.

Both Wilson and Rowell are in the Shiawassee County Jail.
