VIDEO: MSP helicopter helps police find hit and run suspects

SAGINAW, Mich. – The Michigan State Police is reporting two suspects are in custody after fleeing the scene of a hit and run crash, thanks to a little help from the air.

The incident happened April 12 at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Saginaw.

Police say the suspects rolled their vehicle in a crash and fled the accident scene on foot.

MSP helicopter ‘Trooper 3’ supported officers on the ground by tracking the suspects.

The helicopter crew was able to guide troopers on the ground to the suspects' location where they were both taken into custody.
