KAWKAWLIN, Mich-- The state recently received a D rating from the American Society of Civil Engineers for infrastructure.

The Bay County Road Commission says many of the problems listed in the report are issues the county also faces.

In 2018, the county plans to make repairs to at least 50 miles of priority roads.

Assistant County Engineer, Cory Wale says that in 2017 the department started seeing millions in funding from Gov. Rick Snyder's 2015 Michigan Transportation Fund.

They will have received $13 million by 2021.
