Fenton, Township. - Mott College's Law Enforcement Regional Training Academy (LERTA) has two pieces of technology that aid them in teaching officers in training.

They are one of the only Academies in the state to have this technology. The first is called MILO and stands for Multiple Interactive Learning Objectives System.

It allows students to see how they would react during critical incidents and active shooter situations.

The second is the FAAC simulator which allows students to simulate driving a police vehicle. It can recreate bad weather, traffic stops and emergency situations.

If you're a member of a local law enforcement agency and would like to try it out you can email Dunell Chaney at dunell.chaney@mcc.edu for more information.

Instructors hope this type of equipment will help decrease the amount of mistakes made when officers are out on the streets.
