Hikers discover body partially submerged in West Michigan creek

Right now authorities are investigating after a body is discovered in a Kent County creek.

WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Right now police are investigating after a body is found in a West Michigan creek.

It happened just before 9:00 p.m. Friday night in the area of 54th Street near Clay Avenue in Wyoming.

Police say hikers in the woods discovered the body partially submerged in Buck Creek.

We're told they called the Wyoming Department of Public Safety who's now investigating the death.

Authorities say the body is a female, but at this point it's unclear how long it had been there.

Police are also working to determine whether foul play was involved.
