Support for Flint goes International as Ontario Hockey League teams pitch in

Windsor tweeted out photos of water donations

The Flint Water Crisis has garnered attention and support from communities, politicians and even celebrities from across the nation. Now, the support has gone International, as OHL franchise Windsor is asking fans to donate bottles of water for the city of Flint.

Tonight, the Flint Firebirds OHL hockey team travels to Canada to take on Windsor, and while fans have been asked to bring bottled water to the 7 p.m. game, 15,000 bottles have already been donated, members of the community bringing trailers of water and corporations chipping in to help as well.

The Sarnia Sting have also pledged their support, and will do the same for their home and home series against Flint next weekend.
